About Oakhurst EV Free Children’s MinistryThe Bible teaches that, in God’s order, it is the parents who have primary responsibility for evangelizing and discipling their children (Deut. 6:4-9; Eph. 6:4). The church has also been given the commands to evangelize the lost, equip the saints, and enlist the saints for the work of service. For this reason, our Children’s Ministry desires to love our families and their children by providing a biblical ministry where we seek to come alongside parents in evangelizing and discipling children, encouraging and supplementing parents in their God-ordained role and edifying servants by creating opportunities to serve and grow through participation in Children’s Ministry – all for the Glory of God!
We believe that God gave parents the responsibility to be the primary teachers in a child’s life; therefore, we desire to be a resource and a partner for parents, helping in any way we can. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to come and see what is going on in our children’s ministries and our staff and teachers are always available to discuss what the Lord is doing in your family and with your child. We also have resources, offer biblical counseling, and have volunteer opportunities available if you are interested.
