We are pleased that you are visiting our website and want to tell you about who we are.

We, the Oakhurst Evangelical Free Church, clearly understand that the first and foremost commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength and that the second is to love our neighbor as ourselves (Mark 12:28-31). We teach and preach the Word of God, the Bible, in a verse by verse fashion to equip and build up our people so that we may put His Word into practice in our daily lives. Equipped with God’s eternal truths we can then take the Good News of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus to our neighbors, community, and beyond. We believe this is what our gracious, loving Savior requires of His followers in every generation.

Oakhurst Evangelical Free Church is committed to glorifying God under the leadership of Jesus Christ; following the guidance of the Holy Spirit; reaching our community with the Gospel of Christ; and helping every member of our congregation grow to spiritual maturity (Acts 2:42-47, Eph. 3:1-16, Eph. 4:11-16).

Our mission here at Oakhurst Evangelical Free Church is to understand that we exist to reveal the glory of God through our worship of Him, our work of service to each other, and our witness to the world. Our motto is “Equipping the Saints, Edifying the Body, Evangelizing the World.”

Our congregation lives this commitment by meeting from week to week to honor God through worship, fellowship, and the work of service (Eph. 4:11-13). Although we come from all walks of life, our common denominator is Jesus Christ. By faith we have accepted Him as our Savior from sin and have given Him lordship of our lives. This is a truth we wish to share with the world beginning here in Oakhurst.

We praise God that after 10 years of prayer, planning, and building He provided a beautiful 25,500 square foot facility for us that we moved into on Easter Sunday 2006. We realize, however, that the building is not the church, we, the people, the ecclesia, the called out ones, are the church. We are called to proclaim His glories, goodness, and grace.
