SUMMARY:Mission Banquet
DESCRIPTION:On Friday night\, August 12th we will be having our annual Missions Banquet.  The event will begin at 6:30 pm and end at approximately 8:30 pm.  Our speakers are working in the Middle East in the area of education and strengthening churches. \nWe will also share about a possible short-term missions trip to Chile\, as well as take an offering for our Missions Fund\, which is used for that purpose\, among other things. \nThe venue will be casual and we will be sharing a potluck dinner together\, with the theme being international dishes.  So\, bring your favorite Mexican or Italian or Russian or Jewish or ? dish!  A to M bring a main dish\, N to S bring a salad (tabouli?)\, and T to Z bring a dessert (tiramisu?).  Drinks and utensils will be provided. \nSo\, if you want to know some of what God is doing in the Middle East\, and hear about possibly getting involved in missions yourself\, see you at the banquet!  That’s Friday night\, August 12th from 6:30 to 8:30.

SUMMARY:All Church Baptism and Picnic
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, August 28th\, following our church service\, we will be having our All Church Baptism and Picnic.  We will probably be meeting at Recreation Point at Bass Lake\, if they are through felling all the dead trees**.  If not\, we may have it at Pastor Bob’s house\, or somewhere else.  But the date is firm\, so if you need to follow our Lord’s example and command\, to be baptized (Matthew 28:18-20)\, please contact Pastor Bob at 683-2570 or Pastor Craig at 999-9211 and they will make the arrangements. \n  \nWhen we decide where we will have the baptism\, all of us will need to bring our own blankets\, chairs and picnic lunch (with utensils\, if needed).  So\, whether you’re being baptized or not\, a great and blessed time will be had by all!  So\, put Sunday\, August 28th from approximately 2 pm onward\, on your calendar.
